OK, gotta be the coolest key I've found yet. At least I think it's a key. What do you think? Oh yeah, approximate age too! Thanks!

You find all the cool stuff. I think its a wind up key for a clock. ...just a guess.

4-H beautiful watch key! These date to at least the mid to late 1700's and later.

i would bet that would go to a "clock" as it is very decrotive. i would say it is from the victorian period. nice find. "god bless"

4-H, here are some watch keys to give you an idea of the styles including your's which is Georgian. Your's (the crank type) is one of the oldest.

Lmao Dale! For those who are curious what Georgian is (because some don't know) ~~~We take the periods from the rulers in the UK. So during the reign of the Georges, it was the Georgian period, next came Queen Victoria - the Victorian period. Now we are in the period of Elizabeth.... :read2:
