Went out for a short dig tonight and I found another gold ring! Not long ago I found my first real marked gold ring, but I returned it to its owner. No initials inside this one, so I guess it's mine. This time it's a man's ring with a big amethyst, and purple is my fav colour. I'm really starting to love those mid 50's signals that's for sure. Such a sweet find JC. Congrats.

Amethyst is my birthstone, are you 100% sure there are no initials in that ring?

Thanks Tom. No initials to be found, the only markings inside are "siffari 10k". Canadian company, started in the 1940's, later changed the name to Crescendo, so I'm thinking the ring is pre 1960

Stunner JC, congrats and yes, those "solid" 50's on the ATP are worth diggin'! Sub 8-)

Found a tiny gold ring (but with no marks) with the ATP a few years ago, rang in at 54. I've now found two gold rings with the Deus, both were solid 52 from every direction. Definitely worth digging all the stinkin pulltabs!

Beautiful ring!! Congratulations!

Congrats on finding such a stunning, men's ring!!! I imagine finding men's rings are much harder than ladies' rings simply because women wear them more, have more of them and apparently lose more too. Since the band in the back of the ring is kind of bent and flimsier, I would take it to a jeweler and have them add half of a shank on the back part of the band and then it can be resized to fit on your ring finger and will be much stronger too. Oh and since you were so honest and good to have returned the first one that you found to its owner, this one was meant for you...

Thank you very much. And I might just take your advice and get it sized and strengthened and wear it!

awesome find. if that's a man's ring, then you've got a HUGE finger

my birthstone as well, I have found a gold ring with amethyst but it was a woman's, in fact all of my gold rings have been women's so far. thought I had a big honking gold men's ring but it turned out to be plated. so congrats on the beautiful ring, what an awesome pull tab! yeah, I dig pull tabs and pull rings too!

Huge finger...lol I'm not even going to start...

I just assumed it was a mans ring based on the design, do you think it could be a ladies ring?

I hear you, I was getting tired of finding plated rings. I thought this one was too good to be true so I ran it under my detector out of the hole and the numbers were coming up for gold! Then I saw the marks and I knew it was real.

Gold and amethyst looks good together very nice ring.
