My oldest Daughter worked Easter so we had the family get together the week before freeing up the whole weekend. I get good Friday off at work so Thursday after work and watching my Grandaughter till her mom gets home from work I hit the road with the camper to get me closer to a new part of the country to hunt. Fridays misty wet 7 1/2 hour hunt got me 3 mercs, my first silver Candian dime, 20 wheat's and $7.31 in clad.
Saturday was a 1/2 drive to my hunting buddies house and then a 3 hour drive to a drained lake for a 2 hour hunt. We should have hit the lake the year it was drained. It was very over grown but I did manage a silver Rosy and a junk ring. A little more time on the road took us to a corn stubble field where a fair used to be. 5 hours latter got me a Barber dime, a wheat, a toasted Indian cent and a Buffalo nickel. Long drive back but had a nice supper out with my wife and then donated a little money to the casino.
Sunday after driving home, unpacking, and a long hot shower I decided a couple of hour hunt in a town a few miles away would be nice. Got me a toasted Indian, a 1830-1840 artillery button with lots of gold still on it and a 1877 Seated dime.
What a great weekend!!!
