Good friend found me a silver quarter

Today at school a friend of mine approached me while I was on my way to class. His family owns a local restaurant that has vending machines in it and he said on the weekend he looked through and rolled the quarters. I have told him about coins and that sort of stuff so he always keeps an eye out for anything I might like. Well he found a 1965 Silver quarter for me so I gave him a newer quarter for it.
I have gone through over 3 boxes of quarters in the past while before giving up because I did not find a single silver one from that method, but I guess some people still have these hiding somewhere.

I thought he gave you a 1965 Washington struck on a Silver Planchet by error of the US Mint.
