Good sell price for 40% halves?

For those who sell their 40% halves, what is a good price a dealer would pay for them? I am thinking on selling some of my crappy looking ones. Thanks for any responses! hh

Right now, 9.5X face is a good price. ANything under 9X face is a little low. 8X or lower is someone trying to rip you off. :-)

My dealer's paying about 3-4x face, but has employees to pay, rent, ultilities, etc, etc. Better shop around.

So do other coin stores but they still manage to pay 9 to 9.5 times face (at least where I live).

But if someone can get away with paying only 4 time face I say more power to them. Sounds like your town needs more competition as far as coin stores go.

Sold some to buyers I met through Craigslist and Ebay for $96 to 97 per roll of 20. Keep in mind.. I met the Ebay buyers through other transactions.. I asked if they wanted to buy 40% silver halves at $96-97 per roll and they said yes. Saves me all the Feebay fees. That's the best way you can do it.. because you're getting rid of the middle man. They would be going to another collector (a good home for now). Why not put up an ad on Craigslist in your area?

Of course, never mention how you got them. LOL.
