Got a good lead on some caches but.......

Sure, split it with your minister. But I do wonder what kind of a minister you have. Is he poor or is he greedy? Why not get you the permission and then ask for a large donation to the church instead of himself? Wouldn't that be more appropriate for a minister? I would detect the property, make the split with him, and then find a new church.
I agree, well said TT, Give the split to the/his church....it's a write off. A pastor is suppose to bemore concerned with his flock than anything else...the money would help his flock

I mentioned the guys profession, that was stupid of me.Pastors in small churchs around here are bivocational. They don't make much money. He is honest to a fault. We go deer hunting together. The place that the "caches" are buried on is now controlled by another party. No family left. It's about an acre in size and is overgrown with tall thick grass, waist high.I order to get the coil close to the ground I have to cut or remove the tall grass.I wish I never would have posted this question.I just didn't want to use up my precious detecting time to clear all this stuff by myself, hunt it,maybe find goodies, maybe not, then have to split it.I'm on to a new site that has started to produce old silver. No coins newer than 1944 so far.No aluminum trash either. It's an old ghost town. The man that owns it said "have at it".This little spot will keep me busy for a long, long time. And it's close to home.

if there is this much thought and grief from this proposal from the minister, pass it by,im sure theres tons of other places where money is buried at houses you can easily get into!! :wink:I know in upstate NY theres tons of old houses with big signs that read.".Please help yourself to metal detect my property and take what you like" :o

Chicken eating preachers are chicken eating preachers....If they aren't wiping their lips they are zipping their pants.
