but brief enough to find a Merc :)

I went to a park that I pound a lot (only because it's so close to my house). Worked a little ballfield again. Weird... I put my coil down after I noise cancelled and my first swing was a nice tone. I thought it was a quarter until I checked the depth. (too deep to be clad in this area). Dug down around 7" for this:

One of the best looking coins the US ever minted. Great find. Now find some more....HH

I'd say that's a nice first swing! Excellent. If you'd been a detector dealer demonstrating a machine, you'd already have six detectors sold by now!

That's pretty funny!!! ;D

Thank you. Since most of my hunts are "brief," you are giving me some hope of finding something good. May all of your brief hunts be this successful. Nice find.

Lovin it !! Nice picture.

Keep @ it and HH!!

Mercs are always nice,Joe.Is that the same spot you found 9 silver in one day?

Very nice ! I dug a 63 rosie on my 2nd swing the other day and thought I might have a hot spot but that was the only silver of the day. Still always a thrill. ;)

Nope... It was from a little t-ball field. I've gotten about 8 silver or so out of this one. A Washington, around 4 mercs and the rest Rosies. Stopped counting the wheaties. This last Merc was about 6" down. Don't know how I missed it the million other times I'd been there :) I saw some evidence that someone else is digging there besides me. Guess they missed it too ;)
