Grass Field & Barley Field finds....

Detected alone today.
Spent 2 hours finding nothing on the grass field where I got the gold coin yesterday.

So moved onto the barley field for 2 hours & found a few bits;

A nice lock cover
Lead figure of a French soldier
Brass token (Jetton) - details below. (This is a new type for my collection) :)
and bits....
This is what I found on the jetton;
Germany,Nuremberg - 1612 to 1651
issuer: Wolf Lauffer (II)
obverse type: A female holding a horn of plenty, firing a pile of military trophies with a torch.
obverse legend: EX PACE UBERTAS/ WOLF LAVF: ("from peace, prosperity")
reverse type: A hand issuing from a cloud, crowning a dolphin.
reverse legend: A DELPHINO INCOLUMITAS ("safety to [from] the dolphin" (dauphin))

Wow, lackofreplyitis on this post. Crusader, good finds today, LOL, you sure are not going to get a gold coin every hunt. :) The Jetton is a nice find and am glad you identified it. Heck, something that old found here would be a super find for the day!

The lead French Soldier, do you have an age idea on that one?

Thanks for the post.

Oh well.

I actually did the same at my button field, spent 2 hours for a couple plain buttons and a thimble. Decided to call it a day and come back to look at your gold coin some more. :D

It funny how some of the best finds come out of the blue, followed by very little :-\
