A 1831 large penny and a 1941 merc dime. finally finding some cool things.

That's a nice looking large cent! Most of the ones I've seen that came out of the ground were pretty corroded. You must have some real neutral soil there. I'd head right back to that place and find some more!

Don't go anywhere else until you extract all the large cents from the earth at that pond. You may even consider getting in the water for a bit of hunting as it might have been an old swimming hole. Who knows what treasure may lie beneath. Go get em!
