Baldingboy and I went on a 5 hour hunt last night to 4 different places. The first place was a woodchip tot lot. Found a really cool button (plastic but still sets off the machine), a cool indian head posted in What is it side of forum, some clad, adn two watches. I have never found a watch before so this was cool!
Baldingboy and I then went to try to find the rest of the statue I found the head to last week, no luck with that. Did find some interesting junk items and a Gun!! Looks to be an older style play gun, the kind with a spring and flint in it that sparked when the trigger was pulled based on the backside of the thing. Funny thing is the whole time I was trying to find the thing in the hole BB was standing there saying "You found a Civil War Gun dude, I'm telling ya it is a Civil War Gun." Imagine my surprise when I popped the thing out of the ground! Anyone know a good way to clean it up?? I am just going to toss it anyway so if there is some way to get a little more definition from the item that would be great. It was eight inches deep, had to make a good sized hole to get it out but we found some loose dirt close by and made sure it was filled in good. Right before I left found the 22 round close by about three inches down a gun and a bullet!
Then went to an elementary school over 100 years old and only found a few modern pennies, someone had hit the place pretty hard.
Then on to the middle school. Clad and other junk found and a little Girl Pin.
Not much but thanks for looking. All-in-all the last week and a half has really been productive with the Deleon!
