Glad I had the day off today. Headed down to San Fransisco to hunt where I left off Sunday. Within the first 20 minutes I got a really deep signal, I estimate the depth at probably 7 or 8 inches. The depth needle on my CZ was pegged out at max. I dug down and pulled out two wheat pennies, one was a 1935-S, the other was 1939-S.
There is still lots of clad coins in the area, pulled out a little over $4.00. Dug a total of 6 wheaties. My best target of the day was a solid 5 inches. I cut a plug and pulled out and saw the reverse of a 1925-D mercury dime sticking on the bottom of the plug! Put the plug back, stomped it down and sweeped my coil over the plug again and got another good coin signal. Pulled the plug out again and found another silver dime, this one was a 1956-D rosie! Two silver dimes in one hole! It's amazing how much silver I keep pulling out of this area. Can't wait til next weekend!
