So I started my day off detecting an area I have had good results in before. First good signal was a modern penny but it gave me hope that there was something eles that I have missed before. Not long after i got a neck stock buckle. Less than two feet away I got another good signal and pulled out the large flat button. The 2 other buckles were next. After that I went home and had lunch then headed out to a cellar hole that I detect at often. I found a few small buttons and was about to head back when I got a good signal right in the middle of the trail I've walked on atleast 100 times. Sounded like a button at first but after the first scoop it sounded more like a coin. A few more scoops of dirt later and and I realized that I just found my first half cent. Didn't want to go home after that anymore so I detected down the trail for a wile and got a 64 Rosie.

I think yours is the crosslet 4 variety ( as opposed to the plain 4 )- and on the reverse,
yours clearly is the stem variety ! In that condition you may well have a $300. or $400. dollar coin...Nice !

Wow that half cent is something! That condition is superb for the time it spent in the ground! It will be tough to ever find one in better condition than that! Amazing!

Love the design on the neck stock buckle and on the dandy button! Love the detail on the half cent.
And isn't it just like a 64 Rosie crashing a colonial party :dontknow:
