My odometer flipped to 50 today, took the day off. My dear neighbors allowed me to metal detect their recently acquired vacant lot.

Mostly junk, a few old toy cars, but I started my adventure with this beauty:

Have you ever seen one like that? I'm guessing a button. I think a tad larger than a half dollar.

Haven't been out in a while, I enjoyed it. I hope you are all well.

Good job on the half dollar.. You not your find lol HAPPY BIRTHDAY ..........Tommy

Interesting object, especially with the guitar/violin design. The attachment on the back does not look like a button shank, but there is still a lot of dirt on it. Maybe some type of badge or pin. Clean it up and add nice close ups of front and back to your post.

Happy Birthday!!!:occasion18:

Happy 50th! You’re now an official GIT member. It’s a great club, with no dues, because you’ve already paid them. Oh...I should tell you that GIT is Geezer In Training

Thanks! I'm giving it a distilled water bath now, dirt is still falling off it. It is barely smaller than an Ike Dollar. I'll post pics soon.

Happy Birthday and congrats on a pretty cool find!

Here are the updated photos. I didn't find the half or the Ike, those are for size comparison. Soaked the object in distilled water for a few hours. Thanks all for the kind words and birthday wishes :happy3:
