Heart Pendant?

There's no hinge. I think it's too thin to be a locket. It was together when I dug it, but immediately came apart. Nothing but dirt and green inside best I could tell. Brass I think. Might not be that old. Just a modest little pendant?

.....no measurements but I found one about 3/4" high with a pot metal frame and shards of a plastic window...
Best guess , a 60s 70s picture necklace (backing).
