It weighs almost 5 pounds . I was thinking that it might be a flag pole holder , but the adjustable teeth part swivels 360 degrees w/ the big wing-nut . It looks like it inserted into another part where the six-sided hex thing is . The insert holes are 1 1/4 inches . Pat . June 6 , 1882 . # 7 Thanks !

put the one leg in hole in counter.

Set the hex bit in the rowlock, set the angle for the dangle and Bob's your Uncle. Your fishing rod is laid back - ready for the strike. Cheers, Mike
