HELP! Does anybody make a deep hole saw?

I'm looking for a 6 inch wide can style hole saw that makes a 6 inch (little more or less) depth of cut.

See, most hole saws are like 1-2 inches deep.

Or, if anyone knows where I can get a short length of 4 to 6 inch wide stainless steel pipe, please let me know.

Hubby says to go to the contractor stores and get a concrete whole saw for best digging through roots and around rock not as flimsy as wood saws and they come in 5 3/8". (diamond bit so thats why $$$)
If you still need stainless pipe all we have kicking around is 4".
Again I hope it works so you can help others be able to MD when they tgink they can't.

It may be a while before I build it because the old knee is really bad now and I've got 2 more weeks before I see the surgeon.

I'm probably done THing for this year but I'll use the plugger next spring.

This is one of the better plugger tools I've ever seen. It still isn't good for me because you have to kneel to use it.

You may want to consider building the same thing but...........make the shaft longer, leave the original handle as is and use them to push with feet, add handle at top to fit your comfort. Should make sure notches in circumfrance for those nasty tree roots. I have the 4" stainless steel, may be able to come up with 6" by spring.

Ya, I think they're going to saw off my bad knee and bolt a whole new deal in it's place. It's kind of wild what they can do now-a-days. One of my best friends had his done last year and he's doing great now. Don't like it but this present knee has to go.

Nah, just a knee replacement. But that's not even sure. I get the final word October 3rd.

As for replacements they do them every day now and it's no biggie. One of my best friends had his done last year. He runs all over the place today.

I know of several people who have had them done and it works, the relief of pain is wonderful. Do you have to have both done or just one? I hope they approve the surgery and do it while snow is flying so you can be back out digging in the spring. Good luck Badger.
