hopalong holster

Just picked this up this morning. Not a bad item. The condition is not great, unfortunately. I cant seem to find the exact one listed. Maybe someone else might have better luck?

The metal embellishments and "Hopalong" script seem hand done. Probably a one off item by a leathersmith.

Does the holster seem substantial enough to handle a real gun, or is it more of a costume piece/toy?

It's a toy. It's a production piece. Very nice find. I love the old toy guns and accessories.

That's an interesting piece. You may send an inquiry to the Hopalong museum and see if they could shed some light on it. I don't remember any of my toy holsters made that well done when I was a kid. I need now to go find the old photo of me in my Roy Rogers get-up.
