Good job partner!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I need some help from the treasure net community .Understand I am only trying to keep his head so it will fit into the cab of a pickup BUT doesn't one need a readable date to lay claim to the century

no way its obviously a copper of the late 1700's just from what you can see of the bust and the figure was wearing armor as alot of the King George type coins do . i pretty much agree with Kirk and will say probably from the 1770's .

guess you'll just have to deal with his swollen head for a while :laughing7: :laughing7:

All right Kirk ! Like I all ready told digging them old coins can become an addiction ! Congradulations on your first 18th century coin ! You will find more ! We are going to meet and hunt together before too long ! MaineRelic

Thank you ,Thank you ,Thank you, I'm still shocked that you guys can date a trashed coin like that, well appreciated.a little story about this coin ,first off the coin was not even inch down it was just under some moss, couldn't have dug anyway the ground was froze solid, we have found a 1806 ,1817 counterstamped 1730,1770 and a beautiful 1900 Indian(green, the color of a interstate sign, both sides) also a couple of silvers all within a 100 feet,so thanks to gold Bill, I'm having a blast. And, if anybody needs to go PEE in Indiana I found a restroom token(copper)in real good shape, good for one pee,If needed let me know. Thanks again guys Kirk
