Found this week , not over rare over here in the UK. its a horn protector to be screwed on the end of a cows horn to make it less dangerous. but l have looked on here to find if any of you have found any similar ones , and can not see any ! perhaps you have a different name for them ? Hutch.

Thanks boys.! Seems our"Horn Protectors" are your"Ox Knobs" just another small difference we have. Hutch.
 

Hames knobs are often mistaken for ox knobs.
Ox knobs often have a hole through them to allow a secure fit, though not all do due to varied designs.

Yours has the hole.

Learn something new everyday. Thanks guys. Ive dug many but thought they were drawer or small door knobs.:thumb_up:
