✅ SOLVED Horse Bottle Stopper ???

I found this gilded horse that looks like a bottle stopper of some sort but I don't know. Any ideas? Found in an area loaded with old gold mine tunnels that has been active since late 1800's. Two presidential suspender clips also found nearby.

Is there any evidence of cork on the bottom?

Is that cork affixed to the bottom, or wood? What is the diameter of the cork/wood? What is the overall size? It's a very nice looking piece, but seems over done, unless for a backbar bottle...

Patent is 1892 and patents were only good for 17 years then so that buckle was manufactured between 1892 and 1909.
