I found this gilded horse that looks like a bottle stopper of some sort but I don't know. Any ideas? :icon_scratch: Found in an area loaded with old gold mine tunnels that has been active since late 1800's. Two presidential suspender clips also found nearby.

Is that cork affixed to the bottom, or wood? What is the diameter of the cork/wood? What is the overall size? It's a very nice looking piece, but seems over done, unless for a backbar bottle...
