Hot rock question

Trying to post a pic of a hot rock I found out at Rye Patch a couple days ago.

It's not heavy and it's the only time out there I've run across these.

There were actually dozens of them concentrated in one spot.

The detector during an iron check indicated it was not iron.

Thoughts on what this might be?

Yep it's very volcanic out there...

Mt. Majuba an old volcano is just a few miles away.

Dangit was hoping for silver ore lol!
