Takes money to make money. Its true...whats more fun is. The more money you have, the more you can make.
My business started out with with just $400 9 years ago, I went from a poor student making $150 a week part time to about $800 to $1500 a week, thanks EBAY/Internet. Then a year later went into jewelry as there was a higher barrier to entry to what I was just selling. If you can produce something, make something out of other things, and people buy them, more $$$ is made.
I have been "unemployed" but making more than anyone in my entire graduating class ever since.
Its important to not get stuck in something or dependent on something too, Diversify.
I sell gem and minerals on the side.
Sell and manufacture my wedding rings,
Buy and Refine undervalued gold and stamp it into coin or turn it into jewelry.
And of course get some from rentals of property, stock and other investments like oil and gas drilling.
In the last year CHR has added about 7k to the coffers and portfolio.
Just grow the portfolio of what you have and can do.
And like what was said above, Having $2k to $10k or more like to $50k to $250k can buy you opportunities that most can never hope to have.
When starting out the opportunities can be small, Like being able to buy a whole box of halves instead of a couple rolls at a time. The next buy with the money is going to get that box!. and you didnt.
The flip side is to be frugal, yes investments can go bad sometimes but spending money on things you dont really need is the worst investment you can make. People with money dont have money because they blow it on dumb stuff, They have it because they saved and were smart about it.
Just seeing how the majority of the population is, I can see why we are in such a debt crisis right now. Its the whole reason why the so called "trickle down economics" never worked. The ones who have money are not going to spend it on frivolous things, they invest it too make more.
Trickle UP economics is what we are in now and works to make the rich even richer. Give the poor money, and they spend it on EVERYTHING, if you have a business, you can leverage your self to set up a net and catch all that unsaved money, as well as the debt they get them selves into.
Perfect examples are
China, we buy the cheap Crap they make for us.
Walmart, those with out money think they are saving shopping there. They are not, But when they think they are, guess where the money goes. Ever notice how communities with walmarts go to economic crap. Its a vampire.
The Middle East. $4 a gallon gas hits everyone hard, and gas in the middle east is still less than 50 cents a gallon. And in the last 5 years the oil people there are now making 4 to 5 fold raises with the high price.
Want to be a billionaire or Trillionaire? Go to school and learn how or learn how to start working improving some things out there that would solve some problems. Or at least allow you to sell things at the same high prices to cash in.
Examples that could make you a billionaire are.
1. Figure out how to get methane hydrates off the ocean floor cheap. They do it naturaly, figure out how to speed it up and catch it. What it does, CHEAP ENERGY
2. Figure a way to make a breeder reactor cheap and at a ratio of more than 1:1 The Advantage...no nuclear waste and CHEAP ENERGY
3. mass production of algae. If a system can be made to work at just half of theoretical yeilds for bio diesel from algae and with what we spend in one year on Iraq, in theory we could be able and producing more fuel than we consume each year. All from sunlight water and waste nutrients. Advantage, CHEAP ENERGY.
So figure out a way to make cheap energy and you have found the most coveted treasures on the planet.
