How many "Good Years" do YOU have left ?

I've got plenty of good years left, but all my friends are fat and out of shape. They spend all their time droning on about what their kid or grandkid did this week and reminiscing about the good old days. So there's nobody left to run with anymore...

Everybody wants to know where Jimmy has gone
He left town, I doubt if he's coming back home

Well Tony got a job, three kids and a lovely wife
Working at the commerce bank for the rest of his life

[Chorus]
Nobody left to run with anymore
Nobody left to do the crazy things we used to do before
Nobody left to run with anymore

I'm gonna hit the road, adios my friend
Go someplace and start all over again

Don't know where I'm going, like a gypsy out on the road
I'll go someplace and join a traveling show

[Chorus]
Nobody left to run with anymore
Nobody wants to do the crazy things we used to do before
Nobody left to run with anymore

Nobody left to run with anymore
Nobody left to run with anymore

I think Jimmy must have had the right idea
Packed his stuff and he got right out of here

I don't know where he's at but I'm sure that he's ok
Now I realize what Jimmy was trying to say

[Chorus]
Nobody left to run with anymore
Nobody wants to do the crazy things we used to do before
Nobody left to run with anymore

Nobody left to run with anymore
Nobody left to run with anymore

I used to have that problem until i met new friends on internet and facebook. Now Im the old out of shape guy that cant or wont do crazt stuff. I always wanted to hike the Appalacian Trail but now it may be too late. My advice find new friends and do it before its too late

My parents are still alive at 83. I hope to make it long enough to have some part in my future grandkids lives

me, I have been in the bonus years for over 20 years. The mileage was very rough so the ole body tries to reject everything I do but I make my adjustments as to how I am able to do things and go from there. All I have to do is to go to the VA hospital and I am reminded how good I really have it. It can always be worse. so these days I am a little more picky where I hunt and when. the how long is in hunt a while, rest a bit and do it all over again, no big deal. But I can see doing less and less in the future unless I can get a full body replacement LOL

Amen brother!

Years Left? Heck, I'm already 168! Well that's about how old I feel anyway.
See that little robot on the left? That's me when I get the full body replacement!

after one of my best yrs - 2012 ---been down hill since
been at it since 1975 age 12

Every year I can get underwater is a good year. Looks like it will be a good year this year. Hoping for many more.

Who the heck knows, Im moving to DC from Europe in July.

Who did you make mad to be sentenced to move to DC ... like going to prison.

Go detect around all the monuments!!!

Enjoy it - the history would be a blast to study.

People ask me how old I am & I tell them. I'm 18 in my brain, 64 in my body, and 150 in my knees......... I've already lived over twice my expected lifespan. According to the docs, friends & family they never expected me to live past 30 with all the crazy stuff I did and the things that happened. So as far as it goes, I figure I'm in the part where each day is gravy!

You have asked a question that really has no answer. It's all left up to Fate.

The 60 billion dollar question. I have absolutely no interest in being the worlds oldest living women, or spending the last of my days drooling in a nursing home, so I am hoping that whatever finally gets me is swift and fatal.

Unfortunately those of us that have good genes will live long and die a slow and agonizing death. Sometimes i feel those that die of a massive heart attack are blessed.

.....What's in your future . . . .?

A good question to ponder ... I know one thing I hope I'm fortunate to die before I'm wearing Depends, having only liquid meals, confined to a chair, drooling all over myself, and no ability to remember my name.

Such a question does make you pause and wonder "what can I do now to improve the quality of my life for whatever number of years I might have left".

Also a great question to make one ask - when I die then what ... what happens ... do I want to go where I'm going to?

Good question

When I was little, coming from a family that believed we went on to another life after we died I figured life was like school! My brother died at birth and when people asked me my thoughts I figured he got straight As and did a lot of good in the last life, and got to skip a grade! Guess I got straight Fs and didn't do much good, Cause I'm still here! On detention!:laughing7::tongue3::tongue3::tongue3:

I agree I hope a shark takes me in the surf no nursing home no life support [emoji571]

I am in my declining years, where none of them are what I consider to be good. I guess they are marginally better than the alternative, but when the time comes, I'll be ready.

How does this sound, a snowy winters night, a big tree to rest against and a case of my favorite beer, that's one long sleep.....Joe McDonough

I hope for a long time for two reasons

1 I think the gov needs all the tax money I can earn

2 there are still a lot of females who have not had the pleasure of meeting me
