I do cents as well. That was what got me started with CRH. I do some dimes and nickels as well as the ocasional box of havles. But primarily stick to cents.

I started with cents too. It was my girlfriend(at the time) grandma who have me a book and told me to fill it up haha

Whoa. How do you do it?! Even with a ryedale?! I'm assuming you can dump in bags? You lucky person. I'm so jealous right now. If I could dump in bags, had the money, and supply to do 4-5 boxes a day I would, even with going to school. I'm sooo addicted to pennies. I just have to reroll because I don't have the money for chase to send my bags out and wait to get it counted. :/ I need a lot more money so I can just go and spend $10 in gas a week driving around dropping off some bagged dumps at chase and pick up $700-$1,000 in cents all around the area. I'm limited to my town right now because of my bankroll situation. I can't wait until Christmas and my 18th birthday come so I can open up all the checking accounts I need and have a LOT more money in my bankroll. I'm really tempted to sell like everything I own to increase my bankroll.

At first I was picking up boxes... That got to be tiresome. I got hooked up thru one of my banks with a church that was bringing in all of there coin once a week. 2 to 3 hundred a week. It got me thinking... So I contacted other churches and offered to help bring in the bags (a story for another time... You need to be careful when calling up business or churches and saying "when do you bring in your coin to the bank? How much coin? It can get sticky) with the intro from the manager of the bank it was easier. Now I get a call when bags show up. Bank is happy cause they don't sit in there vault till pick up. Church is happy cause I help drag in bags(mostly from the van to the bank - haven't been in the church.)
My biggest problem with the cents is that I like searching for wheats but it is soo time consuming I can't justify it. Aside from my stash of copper when I get what I want to sell I call up the guys that I sell to and flip it.
On a seperate note. RealCent got me lots of info on penny sorting, stats and selling. Like many have said before... It all depends on what your trying to get out of this hobby. Good luck and Happy Hunting.

I get about 30 -50 wheats per box of $25 . I have only found two Indians this year . however its great to do when your broke it only costs $25 !

that's s really good average

Ya my last to boxes were 3 and 6 but those were platics rolled ones from Wells Fargo. I'm not doing anymore of those

30 to 50 a box? That is insane. What part of the country are you? I dont think anyone else can compare. How many boxes did you do to create that average?

Have to remember that it's a hobby for most of us. Just have fun doing it.

I do cents as well though i havent done any lately, getting back into it after my order comes in. Though ive also done few dimes et nickels.

Cents are amazingly addicting. Even though they don't pay off too well for me I can't help but going through $50 a week hoping for a real rarity. I now have my 1909-2013 lincoln cent books and will have fun filling those up

I find at least one $50 or higher coin in every box I search. Gotta love those varieties!

I look at everything. And it doesn't matter whether you believe it or not. The money is in varieties.

Oh, I know the money is in varieties. I just want to know what you look at. I look for the 95 DDO, 84 DDR, 88 RDV-006, WAMs, CAMs, 84 doubled ear and that feels like a lot to look for.

There are many other coins to look for. Doubled dies exist on almost every year. 2011 has some very pronounced doubling on both sides. 2004 has several. Then of course there are die trails. Go over to coppercoins.com and search the database. There are many varieties that are just as good as the "big ones".

Also the 1997 doubled ear. Look at my avatar.

Because I look for anything and everything. I take a couple of days to search a brick. Look at every coin with a loupe. Quality not quantity.
