Hi Everyone,

Lucky's Girl and I hit four sites yesterday - one of which was a brand new site for us.
Check out this old farmstead...and there are four more buildings behind these and two wells!
Honestly, I don't think I'll ever see a more complete turn-of-the-last-century farm like this.

Here are finds from our field hunts:

Clad nickel and dime, a few lincolns, 4 wheaties and a fired musket slug?

Going to a new site today.

Happy Hunting.

You just walk around those kind of places in awe. Absolutely a stunning spot to hunt. Nice finds, thanks for sharing those great pictures and somemore of that wonderful history stored underground.

Looks like the backdrop for a metal detecting marketing campaign. :laughing7: Awesome!

Hello fellow Hoosier. I'm drooling over your spot. I'm also surprised it is mowed?!? I know you'll hit the spot hard...

It may not be all that old but the lock has the 'LOOK' :hello2:

How often do I get to hunt a place like this? The terms 'Never' seems to come to mind. Lucky girl is right!

Really nice finds, and looks like you have a great big land to keep searching!!

Congrats

You should go back there sometime and grid that place off and hunt it super slow. There is bound to be an "easter egg" hiding around there somewhere.

That place looks great!! Keep us posted

Great picture. thanks for sharing.

Mowed? I think the grass is just starting to green up in IN! (okay, being a little smart. Sorry. Most of those old places are so grown over, it is hard to even see them. )

Looks like another ripe location for the hunt! Thanks for sharing.

I dream of detecting a spot like that. I can pretty much guess what your gonna find.

Nice finds. No telling what might be lurking a few inches under the soil. Wouldnt hurt to run the detector through the house either and check the walls and the floor boards. I had a friend tell me his Uncle found a small stash of confederate money in a small tin inside the wal of this house being torn down.

From the looks of the place I think you'll have some very nice finds there. Keep us updated.

Will definately return and most likely grid this one out!
