Other then my work lunchtime hunts which are all park hunts due to time restrictions I don't get out much. I was off last Monday for MLK so I snuck out for a few hours. Headed to a farm I enjoy hunting. This farm has been pounded by hundreds of people but stuff still pop out if you take it slow. After a couple of hours I had a bunch of farm junk (I like to dig everything here), a slightly bent skeleton key and three coins which is very good for this site in one hunt. Two coins were toasted coppers: one large copper and one the size of a nickel.

The third coin I thought before digging it was going to be a piece of a aluminum can then I found this little bugger. (The dime and half dime are for size comparison) My first trime.

Now I want a cut Spanish silver which I will have to head south for since they usually don't turn up in the northeast...one day.

CNNGRATS Those 1/2 dimes are always a nice suprise .I dug 1 last March & it was of the Liberty Cap variety and was punched through with a square nail [gladly not through the date .Some folks say there are or have been a good bit of 1/2 dimes lost [espeially around C.W. Camps/ sites becaouse of their small size Davers

Wow, I knew they were small but never saw one scaled vs. dime & half dime. Makes them easier to lose, yet harder to find I guess. A trime is high on my list. Congrats on yours!

Congrats on the three center. Found one in December last year. Could not believe how small it was. Great find. Cheerish it! I know I am proud of mine!

Thanks Grant...how do you like that CTX 3030? A friend on mine purchased one but I have not seen it in action yet.

Loving the CTX 3030. I'm still getting used to it as I'm a Minelab newbie, so I'm digging a lot. But I have to say it's a target separation master. If there are 3-4 targets on one swipe, it picks them up individually. I've found quite a few small, good things that have been underneath rusty nails.
