So a friend of mine and a bunch of Canadian quarters $80 worth. I thought they're all silver But they are not just regular Canadian quarters! So after i figured that out the lady said hey if you want to take them all for $50! Ok, I figured why not my neighbor lives in Canada half the year Ill sell them to him, maybe $10 off or whatever. So I give her $50 come over and ask him if he would buy them! Guess what, he got his citizenship sold his house and is living down in Florida full-time now! Great!! so now he doesn't want that money he's not going back there so I just posted them on craigslist and on line. The currency exchange charges 20% and is at the airport about 15 miles from my house! So hopefully I can get my $50 back out of them at least! I'm not going to Canada anytime soon! Although the casino Niagara Falls was pretty fun last time I remember!

Why not just take them to any major international bank and exchange them for US dollars? I can do that with Honduran Lempiras, so I'm fairly certain you can with Canadian quarters. And it's a HECKUVALOT cheaper than 20%!

I think the bank would be faster. But if you wait two years, they may be much higher against the US dollar, so you COULD wind up with a hefty "interest".

Or if your in the neighborhood of Maine spend them there, they treat Canadian $ just like US $. At least in the far north from what I remember from my fishing trips near Houlton.

You probably wouldn't believe how many Canadians have P.O. boxes in the US, and drive across the border to get the item that they bought from a US seller who shipped the item to their US PO box.

If you've ever been to the bridge between Detroit and Ontario....wow, the traffic across that bridge is amazing. Lots of people cross that bridge every day to go to work.

That bridge is huge look down when you're going through the american boarder you see all the houses. It'd be sorta cool living on the boarder lol. A lot of Canadians also shop in america. Its cheaper.

If its like the Canadian/Detroit bridge they have dogs you stop before you get to the booth take photos of you plates and possible under the car also I wouldn't doubt if they have thermal or xray cameras lol most likely thermal.

Dogs are very good at finding drugs and all of that and the customs agents are trained to spot lies if they think you're lying even a tad then you go to secondary that's where they rip you apart backround checks making calls seeing if you're employed.
