Finally! After two weeks of sitting inside...perfect weather going on all around me, I went out to hunt yesterday AND today! Got my staples out on Monday. I asked the Doc..."Well...what can I do?" And he says, "Whatever you feel like doing." Soooo yesterday afternoon DiggerBug and I went to a couple of parks for some easy diggin. Not much to be found at either park we visited. Whoever hunts that last park we went to does a really great job of cleaning it up! :P I did end up with some change, a couple of trinkets and a 1957 Mexican coin that I gashed really nice. But heck..I was just happy to be able to reach the ground!

Then today it was in the 70's and we decided to go to Smith Lake. More pull tabs than you could shake a stick at but also plenty of change. I did find a great little pocket knife. Says Uncle Henry. I was moving slow, but gosh it was great just to get out and play for a while. DiggerBug was as usual a great huntin buddy.

I am sooo tired but I had a great time!

Good find on the knife. Uncle Henry is made by Schrade Cutlery. I don't know if they still do it, but the Uncle Henry line used to have a guaranteed against loss policy. I wonder if the original owner got a new one.

OHHH...no heavy diggin this week! :P Been hitting all the easy diggin sites! Not much back bending going on either...I just stoop and dig (shift the dirt a little) at the shallow targets. But it was fun.
