I found this today metal detecting. Im not exactly sure what it is. I was think a button. Any feed would be greatly appreciated. I live in south GA

I found it in my Warren Tice book of buttons, It’s Actually RB on the face and is represented as a Georgia military button for “Republican Blues”, Savannah from around 1860.

Page 276 for anyone following along.

A quick search shows that items from the republican blues are fairly rare and valuable. I seen a complete front/back button listed on eBay for $1100 bucks.
