Well I turn 60 this year and I must say I am not impressed with it. It was not what I imagined it would be. My hair ain't turned gray (little in the beard, but not a cool gray), I'm still the same size I was in high school, and I still got my teeth, don't need glasses. I thought I would be an exalted elder, but people often underestimate my age. Got about 15 grandkids who are more interested in some sort of app for their celphone than how to tie a knot in nylon fishin line that won't slip. As far as meaner, I think I'm more accepting and understanding in my golden years. I will now give people who offend me about 30 seconds to apologize or run before I start shootin. (Mainly cause I ain't as quick on the draw as I was 40 years ago.) Hey double A you decide you're old, and you will become old. In a hurry.

aa battery, just wait a few more years! At (almost) 72, I've a little gray in my beard; but almost none in my head. Most of the red hair is gone from my head! I have a full set of teeth, and they fit very well! Got 'em in 1979. lol No cartilage in the left knee, high blood pressure, COPD, and probably 20 to 30 other maladies that I and the doctors don't know about yet. lol
Hang in there! At least I haven't got into a scrap with anybody lately. Don't really remember the last one---hmmm, was that the time I whooped someone twice my size, or was it the time the youngster kicked my **s all over the place? ha ha
Actually, I have mellowed quite a bit these last 25 years. Being a redhead, I've always been a 'hothead'. Just fly apart at the least provocation. I haven't been in an actual fight since I was in my mid teens. It was over in just a moment. He said something I didn't like and I almost broke my fist on his forehead. (He tried to duck.) Again--lmao.
I used to want my birthday to hurry and get here, then as I grew older, I wanted them to slow down. Now, I just enjoy one when it gets here; meaning that I've lived one more year, and can brag about it.
