Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Hate them sometimes myself, but nice find!

No you don't! Nice one. I'm still getting over an abscessed tooth so have been playing it quiet. I may try the local school soon. I don't think anyone ever detects there and it's closed.

Very nice. Need more pics!!!!

That’s as good as it gets. That is why I hate them.

I have a pile of them, and almost never can make out a date.

Several you can’t see anything at all, but know they are probably old British due to diameter and thinness.

First one I ever found was 6 inches from the side of my driveway about 2 weeks when I got my first detector. 1775.

So yea- having all my oldest coins be mostly undateable, many completely wiped- and certainly none are presentable to show anyone in the real world. Frustrates me.

I tend to agree, somewhat. It seems that we may be getting close to some sort of time limit on these. Mostly, though, its the ground it comes out of, I have found some that are wonderful! But, most? They're just barely coins. So, when I get one that I can at least tell what it used to be...I just don't clean it. Turned too many into copper slugs, no detail. :dontknow:

I agree. I find it so exciting digging a large copper, but most end up being slick or barely identifiable. So frustrating, especially when you see so many nice coppers posted on this site. Oh well ...good luck. Hope you find a better one soon.... by the way, that one is better than most I find, for what it's worth.
