So I hit the beach last night at the last minute. I saw some nice wave action on the webcam earlier in the day but didn't make up my mind tell about 7:30. So off I went. Got to the beach but didn't notice any cuts just a lot of wave action. My first ring was the silver with stones then came the little 18k gold band. About 10 feet away and a couple more coins later I got the 14k white gold engagement ring with stones. The other 3 rings are ss,tungsten carbide, and a cheap copper ring that is corroded. All in all it was a good night with 6 rings and over $5 in clad. I haven't really looked at the clad so I'm not sure if there is any silver in there. I also got what I think is a silver cross and bracelet. By far one of my best hunts ever beating out the 5 silver ring day. Keep at it everyone. And for all you California hunters it looks like the erosion is starting. It's just not that noticeable. image.jpeg

What defines good wave action on the webcam? I can't manage to tell much from cams I see for OC beaches. Heck I can't tell much even if I'm there.
Was your beach a steep or shallow beach?

The good wave action that I seen was the incoming waves were crashing with the water that was rushing out. From the cams it looked like it might be causing some erosion. I'm not sure if it was text book beach reading but it worked out for me. The slope wasn't that steep and targets were anywhere from 2in to over a foot. I looked at the cams today and the waves didn't look that menacing. Thanks everyone for taking a look at my post and the encouraging words. I'm gunna hit the beach tomorrow for low tide if anyone wants to meet up thru PM
