After 34 years in this hobby I thought I had seen it all! Today I dug up a 1944 mercury dime that had been turned into a button! I dug down about 6 inches to retrieve this little beauty!

Also dug out a 1939-S merc, a 59 Rosie, and 9 wheaties. All were from 3 different medians in the city.

Very nice find that took me back to the time I was an active silversmith. I would dome up silver coins and solder on the loop finding..wow! Makes me want to take up smithing again.
