Buy rechargables ;D with the ability to be recharged 500 times they pay for themselves in no time.

I recommend this recommendation :tongue3:
AND,
the Number 8 is very auspicious for Chinese people. That's why the Olympics in Beijing started on the 08/08/08 - so chuck that button(?) on ebay NOW

My detector uses 6 c-cells! I use the copper tops! I have a 4 battery trickle charger! I end up using those batteries and draining them 6 times before they start to leak any acid! and no they don't explode like the warning label says!!!! they boil inside and after so many recharges they seal opens enough to let a little acid trickle out! just don't let it get into your detector it will corrode the heck out of the contacts!!!! I have had great success doing it and have saved a butt load of money. HH, QUICKSILVER(appletree)

Invest in rechargeables....... Just a thought

Instead of investing some money in better rechargeable batteries, how about investing some time. Research better sites that will pay off better. Heck most tot lots would pay for batteries. Now "gas" is a different problem alltogether.

To me no metal detecting time is bad time. At least you found something ;D

that MD i have is a pig it uses 8 AA batteries

yeap, definately wasting batteries but never wasting time.

You are getting out and doing something healthy along with enjoying the hobby. That is not wasting batteries.
