I thought things couldn't get better....

Hello Treasurenet!

It was the last day of soul-crushing school and i had one exam left. I didn't study at all, yet i still got an A on it. So i thought that was excellent. I then went to my wheat field (old fairground) and managed to dig up a good deal of clad, a key, and a Canadian nickel. Nice lot of finds, but nothing like diggin a wheat though.

I went to my dad's softball game, at the same park where I found my 1898 half dollar and began MD'ing. I put my DFX on deep silver mode and proceded to check the park over again. I soon found another wheat, right next to one of my old holes. I then found a really nice pistol musketball ( i think). I proceded to go to the other end of the park and i got a weak quarter signal. I plugged the ground and kept on digging. Then i saw the quarter of the edge of the hole. I picked it up and I a Barber Quarter Frantic, i flipped it over to see if i sheared of the other side with my shovel. It was only a minor scratch that does not distract from the true beauty of the coin. iI also picked up a wheaty near by it to round out the day. Remember, A PARK IS NEVER, EVER HUNTED OUT.

Man, that's a beaut! Great day for you! It's not always quanity but quality IMO. Be sure to "WORK OUT" the area surrounding where you found the quarter digging everything using the biggest coil you have! You may be in for a real treat!

I know, found a 1920 wheat a few feet away...this site was a few yards from my 1898 barber half
