I tried my luck out in the woods again and found another merc.

[treasurefiend]

Well I was in need of a pick me up so I went out to the woods by my house. It was an old Boy Scout camp back starting around the 20's and lasted thru the 60's. I have found 5 other mercs there. I wanted to try my SE on some deep iffy signals. Well the very first iffy that I got was this merc. Then my 2nd iffy was my wheatie. I also found some old junk to, but not bad for an hour's worth of work. Both the merc and the wheatie were down about 9 inches, and they bounced side to side like a good iffy should. I want to get back out in the woods soon, but it is a major pain with all of the tall grass and the saplings all over the place, man I can't wait for fall when everything starts to die off. Its almost too much trouble but I am a glutton for punishment. LOL Thanks for looking.

Nice finds.
Maybe somebody will invent a combination detector/weedwhacker for those "bush hunts"

Glutton for punishment? Sounds like me the day I found that large key. I was out in the blazing sun for 7 hours. Loved it though. Nice merc and wheatie. I'm sure there's more there.

I wish I could find a merc every time I needed
a "pick me up"! Nice finds.

Hey Fiend, nice work!!

Another gorgeous Merc rescued from the dirt-pit and allowed to shine again! Nice wheat, too.

Yeah, sometimes detecting is a pain (or I should say the conditions) but you gotta satisfy that silver fix!

Couple nice looking coins.

Sweet merc!

Very nice job on the silver dime and the wheatie! I just wish I had older area's in washington state to start testing my SE out on deep silver. Great job!

You've been rocking on those Merc's

And you're right about all that overgrowth. . . once you start hunting the woods
and finding the oldies, it's hard to stay out. I guess we'll all have to wait it out
until fall

Take care,
