I want to buy. Put on lay away. A used or new Minelab Explorer SE Pro. From a dealer or private owner. i want to pay $100 down and $100 per month. So I would like to get a used one, that would not take so long to pay off.But I would take a new one. I'm sure I would pay this off long before the lay away plan. But, for now I need to set it up this way. I was thinking someone on here would have one.Or maybe knew someone that had one. I have been a member here since 2005. Contact me here or by email [email protected] or give me a call at 804-255-0085 I am in Chester Va. Thanks Clayton :coffee2: Well.I hit the wrong key on Pro on the heading. But, you all know what it is.

check with our dealers , it's possible one or more can help.

it's not that you can't trust our members, But I don't know if I'd do a lay away deal
with a Member. too many things can go wrong.

Anyway Good Luck !

It really doesn't make sense to do that because you're a lot better off putting the money away and then having the choice what and when to buy. There's very little point in letting a dealer hang on to the money when you can do it yourself.

For some people its psychological, almost like a savings account bearing no interest. Its a way to discipline themselves to purchase a goal.

Exactly.

I am one of those persons who cannot save money.

If something doesn't Happen to force me to spend it,
I see something I feel I need . and spend it.

However If I put something on Lay-away, and I know I need to pay it off within a set time,
or loose a % I will pay it off one way or another.

But Just be sure you know what you want, before putting it on lay away.

the SE Pro is a great machine. I found it a little hard to get used to.
that doesn't mean everyone will. but I did

We're talking a detector... so don't think discipline would be an issue! :happysmiley:

Jeff,...What you said, is exactly why I want to put it on Lay-Away. If I start saving the
money myself .And I see something I really want. I will use that saved money.
I had a Minelab SE Pro before I got sick. ( Could not detect for about a year ) And I sold it.
Anyway, I know how they operate, pretty well. There is a learning curve for someone that
has not used one before. Thanks for the tip. If I buy from a private owner. It will be someone I know, or that I've seem on here for a long while.

I do understand your point. But, What Jeff said, pretty well holds true with me as well.

Clayton,

Have you considered Paypal's bill me later program? It's 6 months, no interest as long as you pay in full in 6 months...

Just throwing it out there as another possible option for you.
