I looked for a hour and a half and found another nutting stone, some pottery, a very rough point and a nice Savannah River. Here's the pics

Is that pottery sherd early woodland? It looks like the rope paddled pottery here. Nice point and you can never ever have to many nut stones. :thumbsup:

They would put a nut in the indention and crack it with another stone. In this area we have a lot of hickory trees and it probably worked well when cracking hickory nuts.

Thirty7 the Savannah River is made of coral and TnMountains the pottery is called Weeden Net Impressed and it is thought to be middle or late Woodland.
