I think they are called stereo cards(?) or something. It has a viewer that you look through that draws both sides together to form an image....kind of like the way binoculars do.

I bet you can find an antique store with a steroscope and try it out!

It'll make the picture look 3-D if I'm not mistaken.

This is the company that made your picture! (This dates your picture between 1900 - 1913 before the company changed names)
