If you won the Lottery, woiuld you still metal detect?

Probably just let my new girlfriend, the mail order one fromThailand, who just understands one English word(DIG) have at it, while I sit in the shade and drink a cool one. I love fantasy...

I'd hunt more, in better places.

I don't call myself a treasure hunter, because I'm not in it for the money. I've never sold anything I've found.

Not saying I never would, but it would have to be something I have no interest in, like jewelry

I would keep detecting. I would change my style a bit. Maybe wear Gucci loafers and drive to the beach in my Rolls Royce convertable where I would pass the time away looking for change. Excentric would be my middle name.

Yes, but with more travel and longer hunts!

sure I'd still metal detect/ treasure hunt
if I hit "the big one" in lotto -- after all what else you going to do with all that "free time" you now got?

I think my time would be split evenly between metal detecting, golf, and fishing. Anywhere, any time I wanted.

I would, and go where every I wanted, and take some of my family with me. And with the rest of my time I would quilt and embroider things for kids and animals in the hospital/shelters

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's about money!
It's about adventure!
It's about challenge!
It's about pleasure!
Hay If I had the money, My address would be wherever the MH was parked at the time It would be parked at a cache site, a gold claim, or a historical area that I bought access to. I would probably move to a different location each week. Well we can dream can't we? Frank...ELVIS 003.webp

Most definitely! I'm in it for the hunt not a get rich quick plan haha

YES! I would buy historic properties/land & never have to ask for permission again! Unlimited hunting for me & my buddies! When it's hunted out I'd sell it & buy some more. I'd also be taking a lot of metal detecting trips to England & such. I'm not in this hobby to get rich, I just love history.

The wife claims that I could hide my own Easter eggs, so it wouldn't be much of a step to hide my own gold coins, then detect for them.

If I won the lottery, I reckon I would just keep hunting treasure till it was all gone!

:tongue3: Quite the contrary. By winning a large sum of money, it would buy me probably one of the most precious things on earth. TIME!!! Time to do the things I enjoy! Time to do the things I don't have time to do now! Time to properly work around the weather conditions and daylight hours! Time to research history, research locations, collect valuable data and information. Time to travel anywhere in the world and TH (permission granted naturally). Chances are my wealth would persuade some landowners granted permission. :laughing7:

So, to answer your question. Absolutely freaking yes, I would still metal detect and TH, probably more than ever.:headbang: As to being able to afford nice equipment, travel expenses, etc. That would be wonderful, but to simply have all the "TIME" I needed and wanted to TH uniterrupted by debt, work schedules, time committed to others, and other time constraints. I feel that would make me simply one of the richest men on earth. God bless and HH.

Hell yeah. In fact I probably would metal detect (never seem to have time now). I'd hire some extra help and go dirt fishing.

Yes, I would metal detect and gold prospecting. Just with a lot of new equipment.

If I won I can guarantee I would never work a day again in my life...

I'd buy all the old empty buildings in my home town & restore them to their original glory. I'd also get into the black topping business so I could repair all the parking lots & drive ways after I dig under them.lol
