I would pay it on my bills as far as it would go, then get a lower interest rate on the rest. NO, seriously, I would give most to charity as a lot of people out there need help. I would help friends ,relatives and family afterwards.
I would buy some land way off the beaten path to build an underground house big enough to do all that I wanted too inside. Man , I have too many hobbies.

I know this has all been a fun exercise but seriously I have been living in my basement with the armed women upstairs guarding me for the better part of two years now, ever since I hit that 139 million jackpot. It really isn't all that much better "having it all" you know.

time was I had nothing and only protected me and mine. Now I can't even hide myself deep enough underground. Seriously, I am going nuts here and need to ligten this laod. Someone please take this curse of wealth away.

I'd buy a passel of sections of land with a lake, build an RV park with special parking area for rod runs with a bunch of stick and stucco teepee's and a show area in middle.It would have another area for wheelin and an on site repair facility and a mobile trail repair truck. Of course there'd be a Marina and excellent management for growing huge bass.It would have to have a nice Grill,tavern,pool hall and old fashioned shooting gallery with all the moving targets.There'd be a salon/spa for the ladies to relax and get gussied up. In short I'd spend it on a way to get rich over and over again in a way I could enjoy working for the rest of my days.Happy me hanging with happy vacationing customers getting a unique experience at a reasonable price.If any one wanted/needed money I'd give em a job so they could earn it. Won't insult someone with a handout but rather enjoy offering a hand up.

Set up some secure investments for my kids that they couldn't touch until 40 years of age. That would give
the invest. years to build & time for the kids to mature & learn the ups & downs of life. Then find some
property on one of those fly-in lakes with no access roads, build a lodge & let the world go by.

If that would ever happen to me, I have already informed family (biological and the people that I have chosen to be family over the years) that "we" would pay off our debts and try to get ahead. At least then , older and wiser that we are now, we may be able to keep our heads above water. I sincerely mean every word.

Hey Monty, in your first post, you said it all.

St. Jude's and a few select others, before paying off all bills and kids' mortgages (without their knowing), and setting up college funds for grandkids. Then I'd sit on some of it, after bailing out a few friends and relatives, and watch the sun rise and set. I'd make sure, though, that select charities got what was left over after me and Dan passed on ... Can't take it with you. Well, I might add a bedroom to the cabin... but not much more. I like simple...

Oh, and I wouldn't share the knowledge with anyone.

If you would like to ease your burden I can take part of it from you to help out......LOL

If I was burdened with 50 million:

Pay off all bills for me and my family.
Set my kids up so they will never have to worry about money again. ( Probably several ways to do that)
Definately change and unlist my telephone number.
Help out all my close friends.
Set up some type of fund to help those TRUELY in need.
World travel.
Treasure hunt anytime I want for as long as I want.
Throw big party for all TNet Members. Week long event.
Hopefully not wake up and find out it was all a dream......

Well I would need to buy a ticket first! Then when it is all free and clear, Church is first then pay all our debts , fix our house up and still move to a new place what ever Jeff and I find togeather, travel trailer of some sort, set up the kids future school, get Jeffs mom a new kitchen! Some select charities, funeral taken care of so it done my way! Then give daughter and husabnd some $ plus help them move like do the down payment for a good safe home so the payments will be low enough they can afford (still gotta know the value of a good work ethic and whats right) ! Not in order except church and there would be other things detecting alot is WAY up there! ...
