I'm In The "Mood" To Tell You About Ring #57
Hi all,
My right hand and even my knees were giving me a hard time for the last week or two, so I laid off MDing for a bit..I felt OK this morning so I swung the coil for a couple hours at a couple of schools.
Parts of Missouri continues to have cold nights, but the days are gorgeous. With temps in the 50s-60s it was a great day to get out to find more schtuff before the weather turns and the MDing season ends for awhile.
I checked a couple of schools I haven't been to in awhile, mainly in the wood chip/play areas. The second school I went to had absolutely NOTHING around the swings (which I thought was quite odd) but I had a great time by one of the pull-up bars. There were 3 in a row..my detector went off under the shortest bar and my display showed a quarter, then another, then another. I ended up with a 12-quarter-and-1-nickel pocket spill. A few feet next to that was this silver cross pendant.
I walked a little ways to the next jungle gym-like area and found a recently lost mood ring, which I happily added to the other 56 rings I found since January of this year. I found about a half dozen of them so far, but this one was the only one that actually works! I've worn it today and watched it turn gorgeous shades of blue, aqua, green and even a hint of orange.
The ring was very close to one of the metal poles, and I've noticed in recent months I've become very good at finding objects close to them, without being fooled by the poles themselves (this took awhile to figure out!)
I found this coin in a grassy area and it cleaned up beautifully..the hole is so small there's no way any chain could go through it. My guess is that someone was wearing it on a string and the string broke.
My clad total for today was about $6.00, which puts my coin count at over 8,300 this year, something I've never done before..the total dollar amount was just enough for me to make one full house payment.
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.
HH,
Nat
