I'm no crackbadger! Still had a great week: 5 gold, 2 silver rings!!!!!

Twelve rings this year so far, eighty-eight to go, and I'm on a roll! It's a funny thing, the harder I work, the luckier I seem to get. If you want to call md'ing work......Pulling most of the clad and silver at the local lake park is finally paying off in GOLD! Thanks for looking.

SoreKnee ~ I have an older Whites Classic ID. So my machine doesn't get those cool reading like a MXT or DFX does. It DOES indicate nichel, dime/penny, quarter and 1/2 dollar. I have found that a small silver ring comes up Dime/penny. A large silver ring comes up quarter or 1/2 dollar. Gold comes up JUST LIKE A POPTOP/aka nickel mode. A small gold ring comes up one notch below a nichel. I have a simplistic md stategy. It I don't have a lot of time, an hour or less, and I'm not cleaning out a producing area, I put it in high discrimination and have a blast finding silver rings and coins and of course, clad! If I have more that an hour, and I want gold....gotta pick up the pull tabs. Get them out of the way so my gold ring isn't flashing a weird signal because it is surrounded by pull tabs. At least for me, that seems to work.

But that means I actually have to dig pull tabs---argh--Noooo--save me. Thanks for the tips. It is so cold here now I only did quarters and dimes unless it seem an unusual reading and sound.
