Hey Gang!

Today is my birthday and my one and only wish was to go metal detecting and I most certainly did! The weather was perfect! 70 degrees, very little breeze and stuff was just waiting to be found! ** Que Olympic theme song.....

In my strive for the Gold.....I've trained for many years. Blood, sweat and tears have been par for the coarse. I've traveled many miles.....been away from home countless hours......and have had my good days and bad! I have had only one goal.....Gold! Today was MY day! I rose with the sun......stretched and put on my gear and headed out. I came so close to my Gold, I could taste it! But my friends.....it was not meant to be! But I did score 2 silver and a bronze (well, I'm calling it bronze for story's sake) for Mother South Carolina! I did not go home disappointed and my sponsors paid me in clad! :laughing7:

I hope every one got a chance to get out today! I had a ball!

USA!USA! USA!

Thanks for reading and Happy Hunting!
Moon

Thanks again everyone!

Here's some more pics of the bracelet......It was a challenge straightening it....one of the rosettes came off.

That silver bracelet looks very old! I really like that the best cleaned up!

Sassy....it's not very old....just Native American I think.

Moonshadow,

my apologies, I am still a bit of a caveman.

I will stop now before I make some other horrible gender based faux pas.

No problem Fathead......I was just busting your chops!

Moon: Great finds. I especially like that bracelet. Cleaned up nicely and straightened out well. The ring looks like it has a nick out of it. Wonder if they tried to size it themselves. Seems like you had one tremendous birthday. I'm glad those people in the past had the foresight to leave you those gifts.
