Hi all, found this today... in good shape, rang up as brass or copper. Any help identifying would be greatly appreciated!

Very interesting. Certainly never found one like that before. Nice one. If I had to guess I'd say late 1800s to early 1900s decorative civilian button. The key word in that sentence is "guess".

Looks 1790-1820s but I have never seen one like it anywhere, pretty cool.
