Iron/wood thing

I can't figure out what this is for . Each slot has 3 rollers . The base is 7'' X 12'' and is made of wood . It weighs about 8 pounds .

Hey, I think everyone that had the magazine rack theory might have been on the right track . I stuck a couple of big old books in it . They slide out nice and easy . Maybe it held a special 2 volume set like an Old Testament and a New Testament .The rollers would prevent the bottom of the books from getting worn .
I don't know about the squirrel starting gate theory - seems like thier little feet would get off to a bad start wth the rollers .

I say it's a rack for storing sheets of plywood in your shop. Wish I had one...
