Very little of the written record is reliable, either way. What is reliable are the results of 230 years of digging: zilch. The Laginas are the only people who have ever cashed in on OI, when they call it quits that'll be the end of the Money Pit. Or so we can hope.

I agree 100% and the big irony of it all there are much more viable projects out there.

Sadly the county/government won't let you do the type of digs they'd like to do. Can't do much of anything in the ocean, though they did get to do that coffer damn thing there at one point. I'd want to just dig up the whole swamp area from one side to the other all at the same time. Not a spot here and a spot there.. No idea if anything is there but rule it in or out in one big dig...

I'm sorry that the lagina's treasure hunting bothers you so much. But I think it's hilarious that you must post your displeasure everytime somebody posts anything about the dig....i almost feel sorry for you.....

Doesn't bother me at all, good for them for figuring out how to extract treasure from OI. No one else could.
