Is this a bayonette?

I went diggin' today at a farmhouse established in the 1850's. This is something I dug from the back corner of the house.

It's very sharp. What is it?

I meant to say "now that is hilarious" meaning that it sure appears to be the top of a weather vane/lightning rod like the one you pictured. I never would have thought about it.

Jim could be right,if she takes another pic of the other side and it has alot of bend on the piece in the center ,then is was not likely made to slide in someones body.To kill

It looks alot like a Ben Franklin Type . Woudn't it be cool if it's an original "Ben"
