Quite a few versions of those have been found by T'Netters and finally identified as a clothing clasp - good one taz

Great ID taz. I brought it to my meeting tonight and an old timer said the same thing. He also said he had found many of them and they were from the 1800's. Thank you.

The ID is a good one. They were ID'ed by me in a previous post here:

They date from the second half of the 1800s, and are not that common of a find.
