Ive finally got silver this year!

I've finally got silver this year!

On my way home from work I saw that a part of the city park had the turf scraped off. It was a small spot, no more than 20 foot by 8 foot, but in an area that has had silver in the past. One coin turned up, a 1916 S Barber dime. It's pretty worn but I don't care! It took almost 2 months to find a silver coin and I was getting frustrated!

I'm sorry I don't have a camera with a macro setting to get a good picture. Maybe later this summer I can pick one up.

That's an excellent find Charles. I've been searching with my Garrett for 4-5 years and I haven't found a Barber coin yet, my oldest dime find is a 1929 Mercury. Maybe the Park & Rec. will scrape the turf off a park or two in my area and I'll finally find a Barber or two. If not, it gives me something to look forward to.

Good luck searching in the future.
